There are clearly global problems today that require a global response.

Climate change, international security, poverty reduction, human rights, disarmament and social development feature high on the list of issues that humanity faces as one.

But why are the Millennium Goals not being met? Why are human rights being violated across the board? Why is there no agreement on Climate Change?

The failure of the COP15 Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen last December exposed that there is no democratic process in place that allows for the people of the world to directly decide on these issues together. There is no popular mandate. There is no accountability.

For this reason we are organizing the first global referendum.
