This experiment was specifically designed to map the role the Internet can play in a global direct-democratic system.

PARTICIPANTS IN 190 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES, representing 99.62% of the world population REGISTERED.

PARTICIPANTS IN 171 COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES, representing 97.63% of the world population VOTED.

The World Vote Field Test applies the principles of global direct democracy in a real setting through a pilot-voting program. For the purpose of immediate connectivity from all regions, we have constructed a satellite voting machine. The prototype has been built in collaboration with Aidworld (www.aidworld.org).
